Hi everyone! Did I tell ya that this series is called "Unknown Berlin"? "Unknown" means hidden or so, a place which is not common to all, a place with a secret... This here is such a hidden place: It`s not the Bayou of Louisiana, its the center of Berlin - or nearby. This is the only houseboat colony Berlin can offer, and it is less than 1 kilometer from the center. How many other cities of our world can offer such a place downtown? You have to take a deep look into this narrow river arms to see sceneries like this.... I did this pic yesterday from a boat trip. I hope you enjoy. What a beautiful spot for houseboats! Seattle's houseboat community lacks those gorgeous overhanging trees. I'd take these any day!

Beautiful capture Wolfgang. It looks so lush it could be in a tropical or sub-tropical setting. In the middle of Berlin, huh? My guess would have been somewhere along the Tegeler See.
