Description

Of course it's Mother Nature that has done any painting here ;) Being quite taken with the patterns in this ledge I took images from several POV's. From this point I walked towards the larger outcropping to the right and also from the higher vantage of the rock outcropping in the left of the image. Each POV shows off it's own unique colors and patterns so I can't help but post more than one of these, fair warning ;) To the right of the circular pattern is a small dune supporting mostly an evergreen plant called Knick knick. Amongst it's numbers is a solitary red Indian paintbrush. Indian paintbrush was a plant of many uses among several Indian tribes, one use being just as it's called, a paintbrush. Will go into some of it's other uses next post. Whether your a viewer, commented, rater, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you

I have always loved the indian story about this plant. The indian paint brush is a very wonderful and beautiful flower. I adore the space in the middle of this - so open and on the horizon, the twin stacks. Wonderful shot.
