Description

This is the caterpillar of the Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus). It was about 2.5 inches (6.35cm) long. Very slow moving and the yellow was very bright. Still at the Garden in the Woods, in Framingham, Massachusetts. Zoom for best viewing details. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. I've never seen a Monarch caterpillar, and have only seen one Monarch 'Flutterby' but managed to get a shot of it. Strange that I live in or near their path but have only seen one that I know of. This is a nice shot too!
