Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'd love it! It is so cold and blustery here, and what's worse...we now have to go and vote in our federal election. Both candidates are IDIOTS!

If you say so! LOL! I equate "mountain river" with "too freakin' cold," so I'll reserve judgment about it being "fine." :D However, the photo is marvellous and VERY inviting!!

Beautiful spot and capture; I'm not a big swimmer though, so I'll just stay here and take action shots of you jumping in! Swimsuits optional?

No rafting through that section. Great capture. Dana

Despite the shark attacks, isn't that what the mayor of that small oceanside town shouted to the wary beachgoers in the movie, JAWS? And we all know what happened after that. Nice contrast and textural effects in this foto, M.

Marvelous! Yeah, I like this. With what the weather has been lately, I'm quite happy to see cool watering holes, and from your POV I can think of this as a refreshing sweet water spring. that's always a good thing. I love the POV by the way.
