well, I WAS going to sleep in... OMG, it's so YELLOW! I've now got George Harrison crooning here comes the flower, here comes the flower/ and i say it's all right... Wow! It really IS yellow. I love the reflection of the pistol or stamen or what ever that sicky-outy part in the center is called. And that wonderful texture...Great!

As I'm catching up, I looked at your most recent post and then this one, and I have to say that this is one of those ZOWIE shots you do so well. This is quite intense and--yeah, it wakes one up--but pleasantly so, as if the blossom itself is saying: "Hey there!" in a bright and cheery way. I love the texture of the petals too, and the pistils and stamens are so well detailed. This is immensely satisfying. I like it.
