Description
Not sure if this Osprey is male or female as both were there, the other is hidden by the nest wall. this is located about 200 feet from the back door of where I work! It is a pleasure to see them arrive every spring , remodeling the nest and over the months lay, hatch the eggs and raise the babies.
this picture was taken in an overcast sky and was about 2pm! I did some postwork to improve the image and resized for Rendo's requirements

Cool photo, around here the most interesting bird we have are crows. The peregrin Falcons are hardly seen (unless you are a Telus Inc. building maintenance worker in which case they try to claw your eyes out lol)

it does my heart good to see these wonderful birds on such a strong foothold in their comeback. thanks for sharing your lovely pic--brings back some nice memories...my first encounter with the peregrine was at Gardiner's Island...Lion Gardiner, who i was privileged to know, was so proud of his peregrines and took me around "his" island (on a tracker, LOL) to see all the nests...this was at the time when these birds were endangered...
