Description
One day we decided to take a trip to Arashiyama, a district on the western outskirts of Kyoto, to climb Monkey Mountain. On the way we crossed the Togetsukyō (Moon Crossing) bridge. The river here changes names on either side of this bridge. To the west of the bridge it is the Oi River and east of the bridge it is the Katsura River.

One of my best Jap Acers is the variety called Katsura. Interesting to see where the name arose.

Beautifully done! I drove a few times into the mountains near Tokyo. It was wonderful to get a bit out of the city. Lovely images. Wonderful composition and capture of the water. I like all the people enjoying the bridge and the boat in the last shot!

I don't know how you keep all this in your head from so long ago. I can't even remember what I wore yesterday! Great looking bridge and wonderful shots of it. I especially like the one with the falls and the sampans. What a great experience you had there. Your really saw so much. It's wonderful.
