(Jan. 2008) Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my page. My name is Tom, and I've been interested in art and sketch drawing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, although never very seriously. In mid 2007 I started using Poser 6 and Photoshop Elements, and have been 'hooked' on '3D' art ever since. I'm still learning to use various 3D modeling programs to try and develop some digital art skills. I enjoy getting feedback from other artists on what to work on and how to improve.
(Feb. 2009) The submarine I've attempted to animate is from an old TV show in the 1960s called 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'. Although the show was kind of cheesy, I remember watching it after school along with old episodes of Star Trek.

Great dramatic scene and I like the soft dof. Skin textures have a nice translucent look to them and really make the characters lifelike. Nice work!

Fine work indeed. As to IBL, I use them a lot and find them a powerful tool. Strive for the highest quality IBL light source images you can find. ST. Peters is a fav for reddish tinted scenes.

Fantastic vampire poses and scene!

lol... you're asking about lighting while you post a vampire scene? lol... what is it you want, more realistic sunlight to fry these suckers? lol... or... are they that soap oera vampire that you find in the movies of Twilight - where Vampires can walk in the sun? lol.... I like your suckers image, but they got to get to the necking faze - lol... as far as lighting, efron_241 is the artist That I've seen on the sight play the most with lighting... as far as a different lighting than what you use, you might want to ask rgus - I lean more toward your style of lighting, but rgus probably has the stuff most want.

Beautiful composition. excellent work

I imagine vampire love might be a bit painful. A bit of a blood feast. I'm not a great fan of IBL, at least not in Daz. There a 1500 x 1500 image might take 2 hours to render. Normal lights take 5 - 30 mins at 8192 x 4800. Also I like shadows. Shadows make light interesting. IBL takes ages and gives a very clear but flat lighting. Having said that some successful artists like RGUS seem to use it most of the time. Well its worth experimenting.
