Description
Life's strange turns:
On what turned out to be Sugar's last day, 15 hours before she passed away, the Poms & I were outside.
A neighbor's 6th grade daughter & her friend, chancing to be outside that afternoon, asked if she could take some pictures of the Pom trio. remembering how much fun I'd had at that age, with my Kodak Brownie,I said "Sure."
Next afternoon, trying to collect myself emotionally, I had to tell the young girl "You have the last picture taken of Sugar", & after I'd explained why, she offered to email me the photos.
Meanwhile, my wife had been reading, "All Pets Go To Heaven" by Sylvia Brown, who had included this "I Am Still Here" poem with ~Author Unknown~ at the bottom.
Next day I got the Pics email, with "So sorry for your loss. Grace." on the bottom.
Talking with this considerate young girl the next day; I informed her that she & my 82 year old Mother have the same first & last names.
Now you know...The rest of the story. :D

This is one of those things where you really don't know what to say. It is tragic to lose such a beautiful companion, miraculous that a child would get those last precious photos, tearful to read the poem and wonderful to find the names match.
