Description

As I walked along the dunes at the beach, these buzzards were sitting on a fence. This one got into a defensive stance when I approached as if to tell me to stay away from their lunch. No problem there!!

Great shot of these vultures. B&W plus the barbwire sure does add to the desolate area of the beach. Dana

Great Picture. I'm glad that our Keep Out/No Trespassing signs doesn't have these guys guarding the area or we'd be stuck... Aloha

WONDERFUL! Oh, I adore these critters! Well, I adore a great many critters, especially if they have unique biological features, and yeah, buzzards/vultures have some of the strongest stomach acid known. Hey, wasn't there a cartoon guy named Buzz Buzzard? I'll have to look that up. But in the meantime, these are two regal critters. I love 'em, and I really like the fact that they're in black and white...it's so moody that way!

Nice capture. The black and white presentation seems apt for these two harbingers of doom and the circle of life. Someone's got to do it. Curiously the one landing looks more like an eagle majestically assending to his mountain perch. I"m a dreamer.
