Description

Low tide at Arromanches, Normandy exposes the remnants of one of two Mulberry Harbours built for the June 6, 1944 D-Day Invasion. Using this harbour men and materiel were put on the continent. The second harbour further to the west was destroyed during bad weather and could not be used. This picture was taken in May 1998 and later scanned.
