Altra farfalla catturata tre giorni fa : una giornata particolrmante redditizia per il numero e la qualità dei soggetti incontrati . Ho girato un pò , ma ne valeva la pena . Tre posti diversi e buona caccia ( naturalmente fotografica ). Another butterfly captured three days ago: A day particolrmante profitable for the number and quality of the subjects encountered. I shot a bit, but it was worth it. Three different places and good hunting (of course photo). The swallowtail (Iphiclides podalirius Linnaeus, 1758) is a family of butterflies Papilionidae Description It has a pale yellow livery, cross-banded brown-blackish, V-shaped angle directed towards the front wing. In some varieties the background color can be white and black groups be marked. It has a wingspan of 6.5-8 cm. The hind wings are orange and blue spots ocellated and tails are rather elongated and dark. Life cycle May have 2-3 generations per year. The caterpillar has a shape that resembles a small slugs, has a green body with yellow lines and is often stained red. Develops at the expense of shrubs and Rosaceae (Prunus spinosa and Crataegus monogyna like). Distribution It is a thermophilic species with good migration trends. The flight takes place from March to September in open areas and / or cultivated, but equipped with tree-shrub cover. The species frequents the temperate forests and plains sunny until about 1700 m altitude, but is feeling the scarcity of hedges on the plain. Widespread in Europe, North Africa, Asia and temperate parts of China, in Italy there is anywhere from plains to the mountains. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
