Description

Breaker! Breaker!...Any 18 wheelers got there ears on?..I just passed county line road overpass and I just about (censored) my pants..I swear to God I can't believe what I just saw sitting on that overpass..What appeared to be a souped up big block smokey bear police interceptor..If any of you are heading this way be sure to keep your rubber band relaxed as you pass by because this bear won't have any problem catching you if you decide to be heavy on the accelerator..10-4... Breaker one nine...This is Bear Claw and my partner Blue Thunder..We'll be keeping an eye out for that so called big block smokey bear as we should be passing that area in just a little while..10-4.. Breaker one nine to Bear Claw and Blue Thunder..This is CoolCatCom...you got copy?..Me and my partner Will are hauling Jet Fueled Semi's heading to our next racing event just up the road from there...you care if we join you?.. We copy you CoolCatCom...Not a problem good buddy...just pull in behind Blue Thunder as we pass on by ...10-4 ... Breaker ! Breaker !.....This is White Knight and Silver Bird ...you got room for yet 2 more..we would sure love to see this big block smokey bear..you copy ?.. That's a big 10-4 ...for sure for sure.... Mercy sakes alive..looks like we got us a CONVOY!! Thanks to my friend George(coolcatcom) for lending me one of his older models so i could modify it to be able to bring you folks the next in a series of 18 Wheeler Road Stories that my imagination is just itching to create..So buckle up ....keep your vehicle between the navigational beacons and hope you enjoy the ride because I'm sure going to have fun creating them..More to come...Stay Tuned!! Thanks to all for your continued interest in my art and all your wonderful comments..Your imagination is a terrible thing to waste...so get creating!! -Will-

This is a very crisp render! Your render skills are becoming better and better, or is it the software? For those who don't know the truck drivers in US have their own (sub)society with their own radio stations, place to stay and eating, etc. The trucks are often very elaborate and costly, insides like a comfortable mini home with bed and everything. They are living their own life outside the mainstream, almost always on the road. So more as it is very dangerous work. It is not uncommon that these truck which carry valuable goods worth millions gets robbed now and then, so they have to defend themselves! In other words, they are the last cowboys!

Dont' forget Dennis Weaver and the Pete tanker chasing him. Once upon a time in the Chrysler fleet era (appx.1959-1987 in Michigan) all smokies had big blocks- B block 383 Fury or CHP had Dodge 440 Magnums. The Citizens band and Channel 19 was just beginning. Of course all that 10-4 stuff had come from Broderick Crawford and his 1955 Buick driving Highway Patrol. You can't hardly find a gas tractor anymore. Diesel was flying high in 1984 when I went West and Overdrive was the magazine along with Soldier of Fortune. 10,000 miles later my last view of a truck was a T.I.P. trailer going over a hill past a ( Leona Helsmley owned)Harley hotels sign. Now for real gear jammer action you need a oil rig with 4 V-24 Deltics at full song and cadenced to twist the drill and lift tools while keeping the lights lit. (Huntington Beach slant drill rig, 1976)

Man it doesn't get any better than this hauling butt on the highroad. The guys are a squawking. Action is in the air something is in the air I can smell it. Will, can't believe what you did to the cruiser. Frigging awesome! The county officials are going to have a bird when they get the bill for the re-build. The engine alone will set them to revised budget time. Killer render all around. George
