Description
Texas dawn and the charge was on to the pits of Alvarez town
We had nine of our best comin' outta the west
And the ultimate hammer was down
Yeah, speed-trap city and we showed no pity
'Cause the whole damn place was a pile
We could tell by the smell it was trucker's hell
And the devil was Dirty Lyle....
Hello my fellow artist's..
Sure is a blast creating these scenes from movies of yesterday..I knew after creating "Breaker Breaker" what direction i was going to go in.. considering this is something that I love to do now that I have the resources to do so.A lot of movies dealing with truckers I've scene throughout the years makes for a whole lot of different recreations to come.Right now you are viewing a recreated scene from CONVOY that was one of the most memorable scenes(for me anyway) when Rubber Duck(Kris Kristofferson)and his buddies met up in a little Texas town one early morning to rescue their friend Spider Mike that was placed in jail there by Dirty Lyle(Ernest Borgnine). So sit back ...grab a comfy seat...some pop corn and I hope you will enjoy a trip back through the movies of yesterday dealing with 18 wheelers as I begin to recreate some of the most memorable scenes to the best of my ability..I won't get them spot on so to speak but I will give it my best shot with the experience I have learned thus far.Not to give away to much info on what's waiting in the wings so as to not spoil any surprises and keep you in suspense..But....A few movie titles that have giving me ideas are..
Smokey and the Bandit...
Duel...
Black Dog...
White Line Fever....
Just to name a few....Also I would like to send out an invitation to all of you as you view and read this that I would really like your input as far as suggestions of movie titles that I may have overlooked or didn't think of or maybe a scene you would like to see recreated ..I'll give all your suggestions consideration and if picked will try my best to recreate it..Who knows..This could be fun...So thanks to all for comments and viewing my little corner of the art world..Stay Tuned!!..and....Happy Rendering!

Hi, Will, Seen all of the above listed movies and enjoyed all of them. I'd forgotten "White Line Fever". Your on to something here will be a blast to be sure. I like the look of the Rig line up. Don't know why but a truck stop has an atmosphere all it's own difficult for me to describe but I think you know what I mean. Very cool work. P/s you still working on the race series? George
