I can't remember whether this was Shark or Seal watching on one of our walks to Fowey, but I can remember the stomach churning realisation that my daughter was far too close to the cliffs' edge for comfort! At least, for MY comfort!
I snapped this then walked on! Some scenes, mothers should not be witness to! Their beloved daughter falling head first into the Atlantic being one of them! Fortunately, she didn't - but I am thinking for our next walk - reigns! ^=^
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

A lovely shot one person and the ocean, a lovely combination. I too remember our son getting to the edge on numerous occasions, he still does, only abroad, HEsends us pictures with him peering into volcanoes and the like, brings me out in a cold sweat.

Oh, how vivid this is - I can feel the breeze off the water and smell the freshness off the water. Stunning view.

What a beautiful scene. Would not mind standing there myself.

Ya know...I'm a bit like your daughter: I'd be right there, inspiring cardiac arrest, while either seal or shark watching. Actually, as I'm a bit tall and prone to a sense of vertigo, I'd probably be in a crouch rather than standing at my full height, but yeah...I'd get as close to the edge as possible and probably make some half-hearted attempt to capture the view with my camera. And having said all of that, I must say that this is a brilliant shot. I love the solitary human figure and the expansive sweep of the ocean and distant, craggly cliffs smattered with greenery like verdant icing applied by a child who hasn't yet mastered the art of icing application. This is gorgeous, simply, perfectly gorgeous.
