This is for Robert (RJS) who has gone through my entire gallery in the last few days and commented on all the Ishtar images! Last night he left off at Ishtar -27 and said he hoped he didn't have to wait too long for the next. You got lucky Robert! And thank you so much for the marathon sessions, it was so great to follow you through my gallery.
Meeeiii! What is this strange aura that engulfs me? It chokes me! Who dares to pull this cat from her prey?
It is my God Sin, Alora! You feel his power, yes? You may be a mighty warrior, but you are no match for the power of the Moon God. With all the strength of my faith I call upon him, my patron God, to strike you down. Give up and let my father be.
I will not stop my fight with this murderer, this desecrator of the temples of Sumer. He has no right to the protection of any God! Let go Enheduanna - let this be a fight of the strength of our own convictions!
Alora, I, Sin, God of the Moon command you to release Sargon! His daughter has called my name; Sargon is under my protection. Let him go I say or I will crush your puny body and turn you to dust.
I will not! You may be a God but you have no right to intercede - this test of being is between Sargon and me.
It may once have been so Alora, but now it is not. Enheduanna has called my name; I cannot now turn my back on her faith. I must deal with you. And justly so, for who are you to dare deny the rights of the Gods? I have spoken - Alora, you are now dust!
NO SHE'S NOT... brother Sin! If anyone in this family is going to be dust around here it's gonna be you! Your time has come. Sargon may be your man, but Alora is MY wild child. She fights for me. So go on and be the bully's boy for that is your way. But stand down now or your name will be forever forgotten and you will be no more than bits of dust floating in the wind.
Oh really? Well I guess we'll just see about that ... Sister Ishtar!
Oh, yes we will then ... brother Sin! Now taste these and savor sorrow! All shall now know where their faith should lie.

Excellent work. The god and godesses power struggle. Alor looks like she is in trouble. I would have at least let her sink her claws into his back for a little extra rememberance of her after she is gone. Great job Roxy.

Ishtar, the force of life and goddess of war, fertility and sexuality against the moon god! Now Roxanne takes everything to another level. Instead of mere mortals there are now gods fighting´each other. In that she mirror the tradition of Greek mythology with gods with human traits quarreling and interfering in mans business. The clothes, props, environment and renders are as usual magnificent!

Wow, Roxy, you continue to out-do yourself! Thanks for the mention, and a double thank-you for the speedy response! Each of these images would be brilliant on its own but the three of them combined with the narrative make for a riveting chapter in the story. Although it is sad to see the gods fighting over mortals, it is exciting. You really know how to keep us on the edge of our seats. I learn something every time I open up one of your images and read your stories. The images are not only technically brilliant, but the post-work is a step beyond anything you've produced so far. It is utterly amazing! That ephemeral form in light that represents Sin is an extraordinary bit of work all in itself. And the expressions almost make the dialog redundant. No one else can wring such expressiveness out of Poser figures. Bravo, and please continue!
