Description
Athabasca Falls, Jasper National Park, is a waterfall on the upper Athabasca River, approximately 30 kilometers south of the town of Jasper, and just west of the Icefields Parkway. A powerful, picturesque waterfall, Athabasca falls are not known so much for the height of the falls, as it is known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. The river falls over a layer of hard quartzite and through the softer limestone below carving the short gorge. It is a class 5 waterfall, with a drop of 80 ft (24 m) and a width of 60 ft (18 m).
Mount Kerkeslin is a peak in the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada. It is the highest peak of the Maligne Range. The peak reaches an altitude of 9,698 feet (2,956 m). Info from Wikipedia. Zoom is good.
