Description

A close up of Athabasca Falls (my previous post). This shot was taken 22 years ago so that huge outcrop of quartzite may no longer be there. These falls are known for its force due to the large quantity of water falling into the gorge. It is a class 5 waterfall, with a drop of 80 ft (24 m) and a width of 60 ft (18 m). Some info from Wikipedia. Zoom is good. Taken with a film camera (July & August 1988) and recently scanned. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Looks like water, not like a stream of salt we can see so often in modern photography. The force and power of the water is perfectly catched; stunning, stunning, stunnig! Thanks for sharing!
