Description

Bryce7 Pro/Photoshop All items created in Bryce.Terrains are textured in a Seriously Real desert texture that I modified slightly. The ground plane is the same texture, with the pool created by changing the ground plane setting to positive and grouping it with a negative, solid inverted terrain to cut out the depression.A water plane was set just below the ground plane,in essence filling the depression with water(a modified rosewater texture). The water snails are two lattices(one for the bodies and one for the shells) created in the same process as the jellyfish in my previous post. They were then set below the water surface. The coral-like branches are lattices, the barnacle-like structures are terrains. The hunting creature is composed of 25 individual lattices, all rigged in Bryce to create a fully poseable model(hidden spheres at each joint act as rotators to pose the legs, head and tail segments).Another modified Seriously Real Material(from Daz)was used to texture the creature, and four spheres in a metallic texture were used to create the eyes.Sky,light and atmo are custom(a soft shadow setting of 23 was used in the sun settings). One radial light with very low falloff and diffuse setting was placed in front of the creature to add reflected light to the shadows to pick up details in the head.Premium setting with soft shadows was used to render.Postwork included a slight levels adjustment, some minor cloning of edges, signature and resizing. Thanks for viewing and any comments you wish to leave!

Very well managed picture. Like the lighting, and the hunter is a bit intimidating but very cool creature. I think what really makes it for me, are the little entrances with the piled up goo.
