Description

Please take a moment to view the image full-size. This is the second in my "Warrior Women" series. Nariko is the protagonist in the video game "Heavenly Sword" for the PS3. The game got mixed reviews, but Nariko's story is a classic "Hero's Quest" that was extremely well told, especially if you went to the Heavenly Sword website and looked at the supporting animations. Nariko is an uber-warrior who triumphs against overwhelming odds time and again in the course of her quest to defeat the evil Raven King and free her people from the yoke of tyranny. Along the way she learns humility and compassion, and in the end she willingly sacrifices her life for her cause, and finds redemption through love. Hers is a tale worthy of an opera! Love the battle grime - and the Nagaura outfit is a favorite of mine too! A small suggestion: If she is being lit by the flames of battle, there should be a spot or two of orangish light on her skin here and there. I like the unique facial morph and here determined look - the posing is excellent! Nice job - and I am VERY grateful for your recent visits to my gallery and the wonderful comments you left there. I assure you, I read each and every one of them...

She has the fierce determination of a real warrior. Glad to see a warrior who has been hacked up and is bruised and bleeding and not the pristine fae pseudo-warriors in their perfect hides and duds.

You have done an good job at merging the character with his surroundings, which can be quite tricky sometimes and is often the weak link of many images. I don't know anything about the game this scene refers to, but even so one can tell that this warrior has character. Well done.
