Description

U.S.S. Orleck is not open yet.now if I donate $20 I can get a walk around the ship. I thinking about it too. I can see things oper people will not see. Plus the U S secretary of the Navil will be comeing for a supper here they be giveing later on. I be meeting him and takeing his photo. Still thinking about it. I downloaded a program to put photos together but I forgot which program that is lol. anyway I got two other photos one for the front and one for the back I was going to put together. oh well maybe later . I still like this photo as the rope pulles you into the shot http://kplcblogs.typepad.com/hottopic/2009/05/uss-orleck.html

Great capture, Jocko! If I were in your situation right now, I'd spend the $20 and get on baord! You don't get opportunities like this.

Egad! A lot of cities want an old warship as a tourist attraction. However, I truly doubt they understand the cost involved just to keep these things looking decent and in safe condition. IMO the $20 would be worth it too.

Twenty bucks is a lot, but might be worth it if you could go anywhere you wanted on the ship. Great pic Jock

What a beauty and yeah, $20 spent on something like that is a lot better than spending it on something less compelling. I really like this shot, and the way the rope actually resembles a cannon in the foreground (well, if you just glance by and don't really pay attention.) There's a kind of graceful majesty to military vessels and you captured that perfectly. This is a great shot. I like your new avatar too.

Nice shot Jocko. That would be a great addition to Lake Charles. That looks like an old DASH helicopter on that mini flight deck. Dana
