Yea, I like this, this is really good postwork. You can do an awful lot playing with the layers pallette in photoshop... my sparkly flames are from a layered affect. Color burn and color dodge are really fundamental to giving some atmospheric affects. It really brought out the gritiness of your background and gave it an aged affect, which I think is very suitable for this character.
