Description
Hidden in a disused cavern, where even the mice fear to tred, what better place for the Handmaiden of Death to make her lair?
Some careful carving of native stone (those Troubleshooter and Omega Sector laser cutters work wonders on the stuff!), a few choice raids of boneyards, and the careful laying of fiber optic lines to cast a twilight glow where sunlight won't dare to touch.
The result yeilds a macabre tableau for Thanatos to call her own sanctuary. A place of quiet contemplation, meditation and solitude.

Hauled out one of my old Troubleshooter characters, Thanatos (Thane) for this one. Contemplating the flickering flame of a candle and how easily it can be snuffed out.
Playing with some delightful new goodies (mostly freebies by Andi3D - LOVE all the delightful skull props he's got). Besides, what better goodies for Death's Handmaiden to play with than skulls?
Took forever to get the lighting the way I wanted it, and the shadows flatly refused to cooperate with me, but overall, this scene came out almost exactly the way I imagined it. :-)

Don't we just love to play with new goodies. Lighting is always a challenge but once you found a nice one, save it and you can modify it for future use. Nice composition!

I think us viewers know how these skulls keep ending up in this room - look how she ballanced her blade... that must be where the new leader is told to place the weopon and every now and then it slips and boom boom sharp blade comes down and off with the head - lol
