Seems like the wind is blowing more in one direction than the other... Is the direction of the wind parallel to the ocean? Aloha

I knew instantly that this would be your wind blown grass! Well done. No wonder that sand from the dunes moves around so much.

This is fantastic...and in the weirdest (but not unexpected way) possible, it reminds me of what Frank Herbert must have seen when he was inspired to come up with the whole concept of Dune. It's kinda well known that sand dune ecology is what inspired a massive chunk of that literary universe...and well...I can see that when I look at images like this. Sand dunes shift around so much, but grass hold them in place...well...grass roots do. It's kind of amazing to see how something transforms, simply because of something else. And as for this photo, it's super. The motion of the grass you've captured really shows the "wave like" motion of the grass in the wind, mimicking the waves of the ocean (your element!) This is really nice and I love the fact that it's sparked so many thoughts.

Have seen lots of east coast storms blow the grass just this way:))) And in response to Andrea...east coast sand is all white...must be an Atlantic connection.

I love the grass against those little marsh-looking plants and the smooth sand. Wonderful capture!
