Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I'm glad Adam and Eve did not have these leaves around? Or did they?... Interesting shot. Aloha

I soooo glad we don't have this here! The junipers set me off and now as I get older all sorts of previously OK plants too!

I have never been able to remember which of these plants to avoid, so it's fortunate I've never stumbled into any...yet! Beautiful lighting here!

Oh, yes...I've met both poison ivy and poison oak. I stear way clear. Your presentation reminds me to be wary. Thanks-a-plenty:)

Summer light in the redwoods, and some aren't. I just had to get that in, hee hee. Stellar contrast in this pic of the dangerous poison oak, seemingly protecting and laying claim to the venerable old tree, Maz.

What amazing light! WOW! This is cool. And I love it, first you tackle a prickly subject earlier and now you're tackling poison oak...yeah, you rock! You know, I remember seeing an episode of Martha Stewart's show...does she still have that show? Anyway in typical Martha fashion--you know: tight-lipped and somewhat constipated--she showed off a lovely little plant and declared that it was her favorite. It was probably a slip of the tongue...in that Freudian way, because she declared that it was her favorite plant because it was poisonous, and to top it off, she had it in a pot! Her Chip-rating skyrocketed from that point on. And now I see a gorgeous capture of poison oak. Marvelous! This is so full of wonderful contrasts in light and shadow, color and different color. Nice!
