Description

The case of awful titles strikes again. So what have I been up to? Way too much. Started school in August for video game art, so I now have all the programs I've been DYING to use - and I'll actually know how to use them! Come 2013 I'll have a bachelor's and finally be in the industry I really want to be in! Which partially explains this picture: I now have a Wacom tablet. *cue Hallelujah angels* This is my first (public) attempt at painting hair completely from scratch. Could be better, but meh. I had followed a couple painting tutorials by Mavrosh as well as Nan Fredman (CoolTuna.com), and this is what happened. I foresee much practice in my future. Still working on Survive, but the time has gotten a little stunted. For those that follow the story, we are working on Chapter 8 - it's been written for months (plus a few more chapters after that), just having trouble finalizing a chapter image. I have too much affinity for this project to let it just slip through the cracks. Anyway, thanks for the peek and I hope to be able to come around more often. Yuni says hi.

It's about time that you uploaded another work! Been waiting for months now. Congratulations, Angie! Getting a bachelor's degree is really something, a great achievement and I'm so happy for you! You're on your way to success! Wacom tablet is really a necessity, I even forgot how to use a mouse LOL. I noticed the hair painting, wow~ that's a lot of work and you're getting good at it. A very fine work, love the hair and the shy smile.

Congrats on starting school and working toward the life you want :) I love this, I personally think the hair looks fantastic! Great to see you again, but I understand how RL gets in the way, but this time it's a good thing.

I like this. A lot. Even the hair you aren't so sure of is really very good. Character eye color and expression works nicely also. Congrats on schooling. May you achieve all your goals. };-)

Lucky you : painting hair allows so much more freedom in your artwork. Coongratulations on going back to school. I find this picture very cool, and very "you" - it has all the little details and the attitude I've come to associate with your work. Nicely done!

Impressive work! What's even more impressive is that I didn't realize the hair was painted until after I read your notes...twice... Congrats on the school too! If I lived in a real state I'd probably consider it for myself :) Awesome work!

Very cool work and portraying, Theta. Love my wacom tablet too, even if i can't use it much these days... you did great on her hair. Great style too. Sound exciting with that video art thing.. hope it comes out fruitful. Also thanks for the nice words in your comment. I hope to be in safe housing and back on Renderosity before winter strikes once again. Time will tell. I hope things are good with you and yours.+5
