Description
Spanish Landing Park is a small string of greenery along Harbor Dr. in San Diego across from the airport.
The park commemorates the 1769 meeting between the expeditions of Spanish explorer Gaspar DePortola and Fr Junipero Serra, founder of the California mission system.
The park offers picnic areas, biking and walking trails along the water and a place for fishermen to test their luck. It is also a popular spot for group gathers such as reunions, parties and weddings.
This view is looking Southeast over the Harbor Island marina and between two of the upscale hotels on Harbor Island, a man made tourist area.
