Description

Here I'm in the entrance hall of a 18th century palace currently used by the Bishopry (the owner)as a kind of library for university students and by the University to rent rooms where to hold either lessons or conferences. I was there during a break in a conference, together with my faithful camera. I was looking with some puzzlement at the metal artwork on the right, which I nicknamed a giant umbrella stand in my mind, and considering the clash between its abstract modernity and the flagged floor that had seen rich coaches and some Bugatti cars in his halcyon days. I was also tempted by the reflections on the opposite bar window, where the reflection of the palace's stately door allowed me to see the people inside, and the rest of the glass reflected the people outside, in the street. When an old lady stopped before the door to read some notice, and the dog rushed inside, to go to what he thought of (I saw it just a few seconds later)as his HOME! I hope that the postwork succeeds in giving you the sensation of the noon glare outside and the half-light inside. Thank you for your kind comments.

The dog did draw my eyes in but they soon drifted to your "giant umbrella stand" and then to the reflection from across the street. Excellent! Dana

Il cane non si รจ curato molto dellesculture e ha cercato di andare al sodo in quello che era il suo obiettivo . Hai reso perfettamente l'idea del momento !

maybe the dog wanted to express hid feelings towards the bishopry or religions in general. hey the truth:there was a restaurent near us on the beach wich is now almost in decay and closed, the dog never does it in the open always goes hiding behind a tree or in a sidepassage, but in front of this reataurant she always shat big time.maybe the kitchen was intriguing her.

Magnificent capture of a slice of life! An image in the tradition of the great classic photographers. Cartier-Bresson come to mind.
