Description

In ages long ago, the Firstborn, the Elvenkind departed, leaving this realm for their undying lands, through a portal known only to the wisest of their kind. They passed into a parallel universe, some say another dimension, to the land they called Valinor in the old tongue of the Elves. This world they left in the care of mankind. And mankind has proved a poor steward. A faceless evil has spread its malice. Greedy men have allied themselves with this evil, blinded by its promises of wealth and power. Ages have passed, and this world has become fouled and exhausted at the hands of this Evil. It is now a time of retribution. The wounded spirit of the Earth has cried out to the Firstborn, and they have heard the cry. They have come. Led by their Queen, Absinthe The Just, the evil that has plagued this world will be vanquished at last. "You are defeated, you vile and faceless evil!! Far too long have you held sway over this world and her good and just people! You have destroyed her forests to feed the fires of your foul industry! You have defiled her green meadows and clean waters with your powermongering and greed! You have drained her lifeblood, you have stolen her riches, and you have put back only your filth and abomination! Now, taste the wrath of my steel! The wounds of this land will be refreshed and healed with your blood, and that of your foul orcs! Die now! Retribution for your foul deeds is at hand!" Thanks so much Jenny and Chuck for letting me play with your outstanding Ferocious package! Like all your work, it is absolutely superb! Absinthe and the Chaos Slasher were rendered in Poser 8. The background was painted by me using Photoshop 7. The clouds / sunset are a photo taken by me, and manipulated in Photoshop. The trees and lightning are from a couple brush packages I picked up some time ago - don't remember exactly where. Thanks for all your views, comments, faves and support! It means a lot!

sounds to me like Apple uk has sour grapes or is a sour apple lol Good work Rod, don't let people who have no useful comments or appreciation for your work put you off. They say more about themselves than your work with such critical comments

Wow Rod, powerful image! And yes, what would the Firstborn think if they could see the world now? Mankind has a lot to answer for! Fortunately there are still some unspoiled areas, like here in New Hampshire and we are enjoying a lot of them on our vacation! Again, great work!!!

Well Rod, I like it - especially the story that you put with it since it carries a message that has always been dear to my heart. As to the rude person from the UK, well, I don't know what possesses people to leave such negative, pointless comments. I mean, if they really thought your image was SO lousy that they couldn't think of anything positive to say why bother to say anything at all. Why waste your time commenting on something you don't like at all right. Sure I have seen plenty of images here that I don't care for. I look for something positive to say. If I find nothing, I simply move on. Oh well. Keep on keeping on buddy.

Thats very cool. Is the story your own? If so you are a man of many talents. Great image to acompany a great story line my friend. As for Apple UK I agree with Mike. And I had thought I would address her crass comment, but after taking a moment to think about it I figured whats the point. Being the nasty, petty little person that she obviously is I don't think I will waste my time. If she is checking these messages I will offer this. If you want to sling rudeness around, expect it to get slung back at you. Sorry Rod, I just figured you were too much of a gentleman to slap this wench the way she needed to be slapped.
