Description

Go-Go Boy was too cute to just let him sink back into the runtime. He's back with a bit more clothing this time. That's gotta count for something. Never used this Hallway set before. It's a good one, but a bit of a chore to work with. Setting the AO on stuff has to be done individually on every single thing. The usual script doesn't recognize things in groups. Boo hoo hoo, whine, whine whine, etc. etc. etc. I fiddled with the lighting for four - count them - four hours until I finally figured this was good enough and gave up. It takes forever to render, so even doing spot testing on the lights was a long process. I really wanted something moodier, but then I didn't get all the nice colors. I ended up losing the mood in favor of brighter colors. Seemed more fun that way. I wanted to use the Go-Go Boy from the last one, but couldn't really come up with any ideas. I mean, what kind of environment is good for a scantily clad pretty boy? Well, fantasy always works for just about everything, so eventually I ended up with this thing. Weird, yes. But colorful. That also has to count for something.

Colourful...weird...slightly abstract...puzzling in that weirdly 'Alice...er...Alex...in Wonderland' kind of way...Yea, all of the above! But boy is it good! Love all the distinctive little elements in there (I REALLY love the tentacle...but, for reasons best left to wonder, I'm weird in that way myself). Fantastic scene!

I like how you posed in him the perfect Alice/Japanese schoolgirl standing pose (to match both the hall and the tentacle;) You need to get the Orkin man quick to get rid of that spider, though. Or give Alex a flamethrower.(I'm not find of spiders, they like to bite me.)

Well done, fun scene! You should have Go-Go boy appear in a whole series!

I think alessimarco may be on to something. While I was fiddling around with our beloved Go-Go Boy (And yes, he's "our" beloved Go-Go Boy because such delight is shared by all, God bless his twinkie little heart), I was thinking about how I might could figure out some sort of story for him. Never done a series of renders before. I'm too lazy and my attention span is too short. But I'm considering it. Either way he'll probably be showing up for a while.

Doesn't know why - but your excellent hallway construct reminds me to a scene of the movie 'Blade Runner'... Nice work.
