Description
Greetings once again...
Went surfing the other day (internet surfing not ocean surfing)and stumbled across this website called Archive3D.net and was amazed at all the free 3D models that where available for downloading and by accident I found this 1958 Chevy model and I just couldn't resist..So a light bulb went off and my imagination just went berserk on the the possibilities of what I could do with it and so a WIP was born.I usually don't display WIP's simply because I prefer to show the finished product rather than stages but this time around I decided to ignore my ole' fashion ways and go with a gut feeling. So on with the story line...
I'm driving along this ole' back road and here sitting in the yard to my amazement is this rusty...sun burnt...58 Chevy just crying out for someone to give it new life.As I walked around this classic and to my amazement all the chrome was still intact and in mint condition...Hell that's half the battle right there I thought...So after lengthy deliberations we settled over a price and I became the new owner. So from there it's off to WallaceBuilt Garage and in the next couple weeks I'll begin the restoration process and when done will post what I came up with after Vinny gives it a once over..Thus a WIP....So if any of you folks are into classic restoration I can say with great confidence that you won't be disappointed with the final rendering...(crosses fingers)....So stay tuned and remember ....your imagination is a terrible thing to waste ...so get busy creating already...Thanks for your continued support and your comments and fav's..

Cool idea Will, Vinny's got a restore project something to keep him busy before the race. Suggestion ol buddy the pic is a little on the dark side difficult to see how rusted the old girl is. Bring it up closer to the camera could be another way to see it. Anyway it's a WIP. Doesn't really matter for now. Hey listen it's only MHO. Be interesting to see how the old wheels turn into a pristine classic. Stay cool ! George

Very nice composition! Nevertheless, it appears that there is lots of work on the Chevrolet Chevy aka! Good luck friend, this restoration!

I can't wait to see your finished product....and very glad you shared your WIP. Sometimes its nice to see the stages of our friends work. When I was younger I loved helping sand down, bondo, buff, tape, and paint vehicles....allot. I've even helped rebuild a few transmissions...It was the only thing that my ex-husband and I had in common LOL

I saw a lot of rusty and half destroyed 50's or 60's cars when I have been traveling throuh Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico last year. It was sad...

Very cool looking picture, and a nice find on the antique car. If you haven't checked out www.sharecg.com, you might want to give it a look. They have tons of downloadable items, and thats where I got most of the cars I use in my renders. Hope this helps.
