Description
Kōraku-en is a Japanese garden located in Okayama, Okayama Prefecture in southern Honshu, Japan’s main island. It is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. In 1687, the daimyo Ikeda Tsunamasa , lord of Okayama ordered Tsuda Nagatada to begin construction of the Korakuen. It was completed in 1700 and has retained its original appearance to the present day. The total area of the garden is approximately 436351 square feet (133,000 square meters).

Beautiful capture! It shows the expert and precise design of Japanese gardens. Unlike some formal gardens which can look sterile, Japanese garden have a magical serenity that is at the same time very controlled and very lyrical. Excellent color, composition, and atmosphere!
