Description

They called us "Dreamers", "Deluded" and "Mad". "It's just a little fire that will soon burn out   and be thought of no more." What they could not see, we could not care. From the safety of their shallow experiences They could never comprehend The ecstatic pleasure of letting go In the deep waters; Only the lightness of our hearts To keep us afloat. Even a single moment of beauty recognized Or true love exchanged Will sustain through a lifetime If one remains receptive to feeling To have known primal beauty and reflective love If solely for moments ... Is to have lived as "Nature's favorite" -T. R. Bolan
Just a little somethin' I brewed up within this past sleepless night for all you romantics who wander through the doors here this weekend. Yeah, you know who you are!  ;-) I dearly hope this teases and pleases your senses.  That's why we're here. I have been under heavy demands this week and have had little time to create for pleasure.   For those who have been waiting .. The first pair of post work tools are ready to go live.  I just need to finish writing the help files.  Stay tuned! I wish you all the best of what you wish for yourself on this day. With deep warmth and friendship, Terry That's my Jolean, by the way!   Aint she somethin'? Yeah, I'm a lucky guy!.. with all these lovely ladies making my studio home.   ;-)

Beautiful, sensual picture... and very sensuous too... This beauty's expression makes me believe that the scent coming into her nose is as luscious as Garden of Eden's all fragrances together! :)

It takes a minute to crush someone, a hour to like someone & a day to love someone. But it takes a lifetime to forget someone!!! Beautiful portrait full of life & joy, very well done bro! Happy weekend, Ute

"I dearly hope this teases and pleases your senses. That's why we're here." Here @ Renderosity or the planet??? ;D And what if remembering causes pain and brings up too many "what if" questions??? Just checking! ;D Love the image, the girl and the words! Until...

In the essence of a scent is a key that reaches deeper than sight. Great image. Lovely thought.

Lorie: "Here @ Renderosity or the planet?" Renderosity's not the planet? ?!.. ;-) "... what if remembering causes pain and brings up too many "what if" questions???" Back in June I posted a portrait titled "All Love Stories Are Tragedies"; a work of similar theme which also inspired similar questions. We never can relieve pain by turning our back or running.  If our attention is turned upon a pain we will certainly feel it more and more with passing time. What we focus upon expands; this is not negotiable.  The way through pain is by transforming it to something of an opposing nature, preferably joy. We exile ourselves from our finest experiences, imagining they are "over" and that we may never know such happiness again.  This is a choice of perception. Love, when it's real, is a forever thing .. never to fade away. This is so because such love is experienced when we have pierced the illusion of mortality and glimpsed the eternal heart of life. Such love does not necessarily need to be felt for or with another person.  We continuously fall in love with many things; a pet; our craft; even life itself. Once we have felt such joy, even for a few moments, we may always return to it. The forever simply is .. and that is that. Pain and fear are sensations of our mortal being which knows its limitations and is ever fighting to expand them. Love is not mortal .. it belongs to and is experienced by our spiritual nature. Love stories end because they must and that is what makes them tragic. Love endures .. an ever constant treasure awaiting our recognition of its presence. It is not the "remembering" that causes pain it's what we choose to recall and how we frame those memories.  Free will ... it is a bitch! Ute put it beautifully, in that it takes a day to love someone, but "it takes a lifetime to forget someone."  That's us .. caught up in the stickiness of love. There is a longer variant of the verse I included above.  It has sharp edges and did not, in my estimation, suit the mood of the image well. It is worth noting these lines were written at a time in my life when I was healing my way back from having lost near to everything that kept me tethered to this life. These replace the second stanza:

To show ingratitude towards a blessing will always Cost the favor of Fortune and Nature To compound our ignorance of life, Counting only our sorrow as real, Is to spit in the face of our host Creation has no use for such fools Even a single moment of beauty recognized Or true love exchanged Will sustain through a lifetime If one remains receptive to feeling To have known primal beauty and reflective love Not solely for moments ... but years Is to have lived as "Nature's favorite" Being mortal we fail and fall down It is no sin to miss the mark Or maybe that's all sin is? When we at last rise to our feet Even if the world around us has turned to desert We must not lose count of how once we were blessed Only damnation awaits for those who forget Ever has it been so. Through and beyond all, I yet smile For having been a favorite at all I remain so ... and may one day Live and act once more as a man Fortune blessed
