Description

Photographer's Comments. Hello everyone! This picture is taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950 camera with its standard lens. I was interested to see how close I could get to this creature. The butterfly itself is about 4cms high (wings closed body to tips) Can anyone tell me the name of it, by the way? I can't find it in my books (I'm not an authority in butterflies) Hope you like the shot.. Cheers.. JW :o)

I may be wrong, but I think it's a moth. But this is a greay photo. Bugs are really fasinating subjects, if you can get them to sit still long enough.

The 950 has a 2 centimetre macro, if you're into macro, get that or the 995 (yes I sell cameras :))
