Description

Founded by the blessed Brother André in 1904, Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount-Royal has become the world's greatest shrine dedicated to the saint for whom it is named. Attracting over two million pilgrims and visitors every year, this highly spiritual place stands as a haven of peace in the heart of the city. An international sanctuary, the Oratory opens its doors to visitors from all walks of life; all are welcomed with respect to their culture and development. The sanctuary is a centre for the Christian faith as expressed in the diverse forms of prayer in the Church, with a particular emphasis on devotion to Saint Joseph. The Oratory is a silent place for prayer and peace that fosters openness to the mystery of God. Thanks Magik L'Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal, fondé par le bienheureux frère André en 1904, est devenu le sanctuaire le plus important au monde dédié à saint Joseph. Fréquenté chaque année par deux millions de pèlerins et visiteurs, ce haut lieu de spiritualité se distingue comme étant un havre de paix au cœur de la ville. Sanctuaire international, L’Oratoire Saint-Joseph du Mont-Royal est une porte ouverte sur divers horizons. Tous y sont accueillis dans le respect de leur culture et de leur cheminement. Le sanctuaire est un lieu de foi chrétienne selon les diverses expressions de la prière de l’Église tout en privilégiant la dévotion à saint Joseph. Stunning capture and motif, MU. Amazing and beautiful architecture. Too bad they don't make them like that anymore. Prolly too expensive. #:o) Also a very interesting piece of history.+5 Good to see your still around, and going strong.
