Description

"The slayer steps into the factory hall and finds herself face to face with the ominous gatekeeper. Despite the uneven odds, she instinctively draws her pistols, though her adversary stands motionless. His stoic silence allows her the rare luxury of surveying the environment before making the next move. One way or another, she's determined to pass and knows it won't be easy. Time to die..."

Created for DA's Resident Evil "Envision the Executioner" contest, this was sort of a mixed media piece as the executioner is a physical action figure that was lit, photographed and Photoshoped into my Vue render. Once in the scene, I overpainted the textures, added additional details and cleaned up the figure a bit before finishing up with some additional lighting treatments. The additional chains were rendered in the 3d scene and wrapped over the figure in Photoshop as well. The scene is Stonemason's Ministry set, though it's been made into a much wider room to accommodate lots of axe swinging. V4 plays Alice and in my version of the RE universe, packs a samurai sword for when things get ugly. Thanks for looking!

I like this: It has a story to it and it is well rendered. The poses and the atosmpkeric regression are very good. Well done JCD

Great job! One of your best! Either that's a very mean axe, or a Giant's left foot. In either case, it's an ominous foretell of what's about to happen.

Great work. The subtitle just makes me think of a song... "You think you can destroy me? You'd better think again. I am eternal terror, my quest will never end. I'll trap you in the pentagram and seal your battered tomb. Your life is just another game for Satan's night of doom!" m/
