We had the mother of all storms last night. A trough the size of Australia battered the country. My bedroom windows flew open then slammed shut, after dousing me with freezing cold rain. Then the power went off, and the fuses blew. Light bulbs blew out I found big black burns on one this morning. Haven't looked at any others lol. So much noise!!! Never seen lightning like it. It seems nature is still playing here. Picking things up and dropping them just for the fun of it. I hear NY State also had a monster around the same time.

Excellent post! My goodness it sounds like it is lucky the worst that happened is you got an unplanned cold shower. It sounds like it could have been far worse.
