Hello everyone. I'm not quite back, but getting there. Please forgive my lack of commenting. I have developed pleurisy in both lungs, and the pain is out there. But massive doses of antibiotics seem to be getting at it. Meantime, I can't sit for long at the computer. This tees me off a lot!!
Anyway, here is the Taniwha (Taneefaa) The Waikato river runs through the town where I live. It is said that at each bend in the river, a Taniwha stands guard.
I am not Maori, but can claim ancestry going a long way back. This is my version of the formidable Guardian. It wears a korowai (feathered cloak) and stands amid river weed and freshwater crayfish. Not a being to be taken lightly. I hope you can appreciate the strength and dignity of this Being.

Excellent work!!!! This image is astonishing. Take your time getting better. Dont try to push it too soon, pleurisy is nothing to fool with, just go to bed, with your head elevated, (it helps make breathing easier) and stay warm, drink lots of fluids.
