Description

I've been walkabout again. Now that the lanes are less congested and with the sun still high, albeit slightly chillier at night, it is a wonderful time to just get out there and see what's what! I got lost on a few occasions, but that's half the fun, and it was during one of these "where am I?" moments that I found this small pool. It had a lovely light streaming through to the floor, but that wasn't why I took the image. It was the cross, half hidden in the undergrowth, that caught my eye. I pushed some bracken out of the way, and the entire image took on a different meaning and made it more worthy of recording. So here it is! A quite magical spot and a lovely place of final rest for the beloved furry person who lies there. Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

This is such a fantastic shot! I love the mood and the sense of light and color in this. Favorite spots are marvelous! Rather like secret places revealed as fragile and delicate secrets by close friends. I really love the ambiance, the rampant natural beauty, the gentle mood...everything. The cross is an amazing thing; it looks a bit woven, and it's a wonderful place for a beloved friend to rest. This is quite an amazing shot, all the more significant to me as I'm currently reevaluating my current environment and ways to leave it as quickly and bloodlessly as possible. On that level alone, this is quite an inspiring shot.
