Description
I posted an image of Chagford reservoir a while ago, but as I go there often, here is another, though from the actual dam area. I'd really have liked to have been able to cross the bridge but the gate was locked. The wall holding back the millions of tons of water is completely accessible and gives one pause for thought when standing behind it. No second grade granite here, methinks! I have taken a couple of images from that side and shall post them soon.
I'm hoping that this weather holds awhile longer, as I intend returning there this week, Barney, picnic basket, book and camera in tow. I've rarely met anyone else there, despite the beauty and peace of the place, so it's rather nice just to sit watching the sea birds flit here and there and to actually feed them without someone complaining about their squawking!
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

Looks a fabulous place, full of potential. Shame about the gate.

Looks like a very scenic place Really beautiful...but I agree a bummer about the gate I zoomed in and bet it's beautiful there come fall.......and saw lots of sheep in the background too........ You sound like me I take a book everywhere...one goes with me tomorrrow for the bone scan.........Van will be here at 7am to pick me up I am reading The Book Club now by Mary Alice Monroe......very good...........get into it and can't seem to quit.......who knows may sit up all night and read and be ready when the van gets here.....me dunno yet.......either way the book will go...it will be more ready than I will be that's for sure....LOL I zoomed in and noticed lots of sheep..........in the background and I bet it is pretty in the fall...with all those hills and trees....... Say a prayer for me tomorrow.......just want it over and done with I am already guessing the results Hugs Susan~
