Description

(Bug Comic) Here is an artist's rendering of the burning of Gresham. It's in the Ellesburg War museum, and it was carefully cleaned up of dead persons so as not to offend any Aer visitors, and probably contains other inaccuracies as well. I am suspicious of the helmets that the Aer clearing team is wearing, since the helmets have "ears", but the uniforms and weapons are correct. The original Aer ran on their toes, in that odd hunched position you see here, and hunted by smell as well as sight. They could easily outrun a human in a short sprint, though humans have more endurance. And they are tall, around 6'5" in old measuring units. -------------------------- The uniforms are Xurge's excellent HEV suit for M4, which is incredibly detailed, though it does not have the force field underlay you can see in the Aer in front.

Very nice work! Great image - it is interesting to note that history (and art) is written (drawn) by the victors

wow, it's meta-art! it's somewhat disorienting to get a sort of fictional history of a history that's already fictional. i love that sort of play on frames of reference. artistically, this is just awesome. you've really caught the colors of night lit by yellow and orange light. something about the composition really gives the feeling of predatory hunting. they don't look very hunched to me, though that could be just how oddly long and tall DAZ makes its figures.

Oh my goodness, you make an excellent Pyro!! And demolition expert as well. I love the big hole in the road. For some odd reason, I keep thinking about Scarlett O'hara. Where shall I go? What shall I do? LOL

Rating: 10+++ An outstanding piece of art... great and terrible together. great - because the concept of the scenery is well-considered. the bevahiour of the unit - a fantastic observation of people in sketchy situations. And your work in flames - unique. That's also why it is terrible ( not as artwork!) - you are imaginating the savageness of war in a convincing way...
