Description

In the picture of a butterfly today, quite nice, not always easy to photograph. Capable of flying for a long time, going from one flower to another without stopping. When it lands on a flower is the kind that almost always see in the picture. Sometimes it settles on the leaves of some plants and in that case is difficult to see because of the color and veining of the wings that make it similar to a foglia.Ma, with careful observation, I realized how time stops and I loved managed to find me at the right time. Cleopatra Has colors ranging from pure white to yellow up to orange. The male has a large orange patch on upper wings, while the underparts are yellow with two red dots in the center. The female has two pairs of wings the same color (yellowish white), with a red dot on each wing. Cleopatra, like all butterflies, feeds sucking the nectar from flowers, to do this using the trunk (modified jaw) or proboscis (at rest). The lifespan of Cleopatra from June until the following spring, surpassing the winter in hibernation in the adult stage. The female lays eggs on plants of buckthorn (Rhamnus alaternus L.) and Spinocervino (Rhamnus catharticus L.) fails to recognize, thanks to the organs "taste" placed on their legs. It is very common in lowland areas. Good day and good week Thanks for the comments and the favourites of previous image

Gorgeous capture! So clear and detailed. The textures and veining in the wings are outstanding. Dana

Superb capture. The lighting is just as amazing as the butterfly. Both make a stunning scene. I love it. Bloccaggio superbo. L'illuminazione è altrettanto stupefacente quanto la farfalla. Entrambi fanno una scena sbalorditiva. La amo.
