Description
Yesterday and today we drove from Hilo on the east side of Hawaii to the west side of the island by way of Saddle Road. It's an interesting trip, even with the construction zone. Here's part of the road on the downside run.

This is just past the military training area called Pohakuloa (PTA) and heading towards Waimea/Kona area or towards the West side. The roads are narrow and dangerous especially at nights when the fog starts rolling in. There are several of these "Yield to Oncoming Traffic" with a little mini bridge. A roller-coaster ride wasn't it? Aloha

Oh boy this looks like fun! It reminds me of the road into Death Valley but the dips in that road aren't nearly as deep. My then 15 year old grandson had a blast driving on it though. Thanks for the fun memory.
