Hello!! from Jean. I live in UK north of Manchester and close to the Ribble Valley. I have two sons who live in the south of England , and Geneva. I have been interested in photography for years..in the sense of capturing people and scenes, but with a digital camera have become an addict. Photography enables unique moments to be captured and one learns to use one's eyes more searchingly. As I have absolutely no talent in conventional art it is a challenge to try to produce results with all the help available with software. As a overview of my gallery will show, I am a novice! I do like to experiment..usually with no fixed idea of where i'm going1 Just persist until the image pleases me. and the creative process is fun. Members of RR have been very generous with their comments and help, which is very much appreciated. I have learned so much of seeing other artists' work apart from the real enjoyment of viewing and having contact with other members.  I like to travel which gives added inspiration.... Many many thanks to you all. JeanÂ

I did find info about the tomb of Joanna de Bohun, a Countess of Hereford. She died in 1327. interesting as it is one of only a few secular burials within the cathedral. She was a great benefactor of the cathedral, giving much land which provided an endowment for 10 new vicars, ( 8 priests, a deacon and a subdeacon) with specific duties in the Lady Chapel where she is buried. The de Bohun family was very powerful in the Welsh Marches...borders of Eng and Wales. I contacted the library of the cathedral this morning, emailed the photo, and had the info. Sheds a little more light on 600+ean years ago!.....J
