Description
Taken a few weeks ago at the civil war re-enactors ball. This is a yearly event in the wooded park across the street from my house.
I surprised myself with how well I could set up the tripod, mount the camera, attach the remote trigger and find all my settings in the very dim light.
I came armed with a small flashlight, but found I only needed it to wend my way home amongst the oak trees in the dark.
It was challenging to find the balance between ISO and shutter speed to not end up with blurry or ghostly silhouettes or impossible amounts of noise.
At 3200 ISO there was quite a bit of noise but a few grunge layers to make it look like an old photo and I'm pretty happy with the result.
Thanks for looking and your comments.

Wonderful contrast between the music and the dancers and a great job to set the mood with the grunge.

This is a sublime image - you did really well in the dark after all... it's reminiscent of an old B&W movie - topped only by the perfect font ! BB
