Description

We actually took the wrong path and ended up here, at St. Erth. We popped into the local camp site shop, bought some goodies and decided to sit by the river, eat, drink (blueberry juice) and paddle. Only we didn't reckon on the Chinese ducks who had their own idea of fun. That basically meant much quacking, head bobbing and gentle nibbling of extremeties (ours!), until crumbs were tossed in the general direction of open (most of the time), beaks! (inset). They were quite well manered though, for ducks, and made a beautiful day even more pleasurable. One can get some smashing surprises when one takes a wrong turn! ^=^ Or one can lose a wellie in bog and sink into quicksand - both of which has happened to me...Oh the joys of being young, frivolous and....stupid! ^=^ The wheel in the image powers a small generator which is inside the box - we took advantage of that and used it as a bench. I imagine it is owned by the camp site shop. Today - rain. Yay! I really would have liked sun and made for Chagford again, but when given rain, the beach beckons. All I have to do now is convince Barney that rain is no wetter than any other water...it just comes from a different direction. My dog is weird! ^=^ Thank you for faves and such and for taking the time to look. ^=^

Idyllic! Your shots make me imagine I'd like to live there too, but the grass is always greener, and moving would surely tear my taproot!

Super shot. Do you not think that some types of rain is wetter than than others then?
