Description

Another one of those images that feel a bit "meh".. Will probably re-do this one with another camera angle and some touchups on the lighting.. Anyway.. a bit inspired by Jeanne d’Arc

I agree, I think this angle works very well, and the overhead light shaft is wonderful. I really like the helmet on the floor, since the viewer's eye starts at the top of the scene and starts forming impressions, based on the candles and crosses, and then this skull-shaped helmet jumps out at you, and you think perhaps your perceptions about what this lady fighter is all about might be slightly askew... A very nice piece!

I was going to say it was very D'Arc-ish. I like it, I wouldn't change it at all.

Well you are off to one hellaof good start on this one. It certainly has a dramatic tilt that adds a lot of punch. I would leave the camera angle alone, I think it has a lot of power and works well with your tight framing. If I was gonna touch up this one I would make the light more streaming, like it was coming through fine dust and I would bump up the overall vibrancy just a tad.
