Description

Hello everyone and thanks for looking... One thing I've noticed about Rendo after posting more than 350 pictures here over the past couple years, is that if you don't have a girl in your picture, you won't get many comments. I realize that 'sex sells' and that the female form is probably the most beautiful thing in the world, and all that, but from time to time, I think we should be able to do other subjects and get some feedback. That being said, I'm posting this picture, knowing full well that of the 30 or so people who usually comment on my work only about 20 of you will comment, and those comments will be something like "nice job". Oh well, I'll get back to the pinup action pictures later, but I kind of liked how this one came out, and thought I'd post one of my rare, non-cheesecake images. What do you think? I double-dog-dare you to comment and make me a liar! ^_^ Tom Seaview123 Credits: Generic Sci-Fi Corridor by Stonemason @ Daz3D

Very cool - great characters and lighting! And yes, it is sometimes depressing that non-girly images get so little attention - I've noticed that a nudity flag on my images means I get twice as many hits! (or as Matcreator puts it, "No T*ts, no hits!"). Good to see you mixing it up!

grins "Nice job"! lol ..I can recall I posted a 'rant' amongst similar lines and that you even referred to that in your blog here on Rendo, remember? Nothing has changed since, and I have learned to live with it. It does 'itch' from time to time, I agree with you on that. As you might have noticed I hardly comment anymore these days.. My 'dark moods' get the better of me lately, I just watch as many images as I can and 'hide' then.. As you can see I did not only look at your image (great lighting and mood!) but also read what you wrote with it.. :) Charley :)

WOW, why doesn't he go after robots with a CAN-OPENER? XD LOLOLOLOLOL He is REMARKABLY underwhelmingly armed to shoot anything bigger than a robot vacuum-cleaner! A good picture with a solid "He is SO SCREWED" vibe going on. He needs bigger guns! You're right about the comments. I stopped expecting lots of comments a LONG time ago. As long as I have two of three people who really look hard and comment, I'm satisfied.

The image is outstanding, great pose and lighting. I am going to assume that the tech behind the person is assisting in the hunt, or else this person is about to get a bit of shake! rattle! & Roll!

I agree I have seen the trend as well, some post get an amazing amount of views just for the reason you stated... and I have seen countless images of artwork and photographs that are striking to me that get very few comments.. I've noticed the same in my gallery when I have posted something such as a flower, flowers for whatever reason seem to get less comments.. I guess its because how many ways can you say nice flower after awhile without sounding like you are just repeating what 30 others have said prior.. but I will still continue to post them because I love them.. so that said NICE JOB here haha seriously though great scene, nice action I wonder who will win the battle. Happy Friday~

Hey SV. Here's the thing. You do what you like and let the comments fall as they may. Sometimes you'll strike a chord and you'll get tons of comments, regardless of whether there's a femail in the pic or not. For the most part, if you've got a sexy female, you'll get lots of views and comments. I say phooey to that. I'm going to do monsters, aliens, men, women whatever I feel like at the time. Comment or not, it makes me happy. Also, remember when I said your work reminds me a lot of mine? Check out this older image of mine. :p http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1179654&user_id=259152&np&np Keep up the good work and I'll keep commenting when I can!

Totally agree..not fair to those of us that don't do character art whether we want to or not..Nothing against those that do...I'm flexible and love a lot of character art i see but knowing I'll never make the art charts when the top 50 are always sexual in nature isn't fair ...I mean come on...1000 views and only 10 comments...Well at least when i post i know it's fellow artists and friends enjoying my art that got them to comment verses the ones just looking and leaving..If creating my art requires a scantly clad woman graced across my car model to get it up the charts then I'll pass..If my landscape and scenery can't get it there on it's own merit then so be it... Your art is always a pleasure to view and by the way..your character is about to become toast...lol... -Will-

Good picture in the 'Look behind you' theme. As to the numbers I don't think it will make much difference amongst your regulars. A sexy girl might pick someone up from the occasional browser or the spot market. We are only biologically programmed to think women pretty. Maybe they are really really ugly! at least if you are a beetle or a martian.
