(Jan. 2008) Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my page. My name is Tom, and I've been interested in art and sketch drawing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, although never very seriously. In mid 2007 I started using Poser 6 and Photoshop Elements, and have been 'hooked' on '3D' art ever since. I'm still learning to use various 3D modeling programs to try and develop some digital art skills. I enjoy getting feedback from other artists on what to work on and how to improve.
(Feb. 2009) The submarine I've attempted to animate is from an old TV show in the 1960s called 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'. Although the show was kind of cheesy, I remember watching it after school along with old episodes of Star Trek.

The color and lighting is great. This does have an air of suspense to it. But isn't that a big robot behind the hunter? Or is it a "helper robot"? Personally these days I'm skipping over the ones with a nudity tag unless I know the artist and he/she is just showing a new texture or the nudity is important to the scene. Wow, this is the most I've been able to type in several weeks. My hands just hurt so much lately.

HAHAH! I fully agree with you that sex and females get the notice and comments. That's why I usually set my girls on fire, LOL! Have you tried using the Atmosphere feature in Poser?

I have seen the same thing in my renders but hold to the truth...Do what is in your heart and head and the rest works out. This is a well done render in terms of color and the crafting of suspense in the poses. And besides it has a gurl with a gun so to speak so it will get hits (LOL). Seriously , nice job!!!!

Nude renders I've done usually get 10 times the hits as my others, one reason I've left out putting any tags on my images, either. More than half the people that fave my images with the nudes have no artwork themselves posted and if you look at their faves the're ALL nudes, whether Poser or photography it doesn't matter. They never comment in the image or their fave but I'm figuring it's a little hard to type one handed, if you get my drift. This is a great image, the title reminded me of one of my fave comicbooks as a kid ~ "Magus, Robot Hunter". I loved it when he'd bash their heads off and they'd go "SQUEEEEE!" Love the lighting in this, it's very, very good as is the overall composition. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes though...

Tom, I so agree that it seems to take the addition of a female into a render to generate any significant comments. I guess there are worse burdens as an artist. :>) I really like what you did with this monochromatic image. The composition and contrast with the robot is very pleasing to the eye
