Description

Yesterday was a slight flare-up day which gave me two choices. First, get cross and frustrated at my inability to do the most mundane tasks. (in all honesty, I rarely do mundane tasks - boooring!), but you get my drift. Or choice two, do what I want to anyway, and ignore the complaining body parts! It's a 'mind over matter, this too shall pass' sort of thing. Mostly. Having Karl Jenkins' "Adiemus" playing on the computer also helped! ^=^ I don't do 'cross'. I find it pointless and it colours perspective, makes one feel worse and just compounds everything. What I actually do is to take a perfectly good image of a tree with very long roots, growing over a very large granite boulder and play with it. The image, that is. Not the boulder! That would just be silly! ^-^ Down in the valley granite boulders are the norm. Many, weighing hundreds and sometimes thousands of tons have trees, hundreds of years old, sitting atop them, their roots growing over, around and down into the rich loam laid down by generations of trees before them. Because the valley is ancient, soil abounds, but the boulders remain the favourite resting place of many a tree and sapling. The 'foot' of this ancient Beech came to light recently because of the clearing of undergrowth taking place. So - here it is. With a bit of manipulation! Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^
